When you look at others, you should not first see their faults, but you should develop a deep love for God and the Lord Jesus to the extent that when you look at others, their faults should not be the first thing that you see, instead you should see someone so special that your heavenly Father sacrificed His only begotten Son by allowing him to die for them. Which should lead you directly to the cross and you should see the blood that Jesus shed that day was for that very person that you are looking at. I see the world this way and you can too, but only if you develop what I call spiritual heart knowledge.
[Jesus told his disciples] “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35
What is the one thing that defines God, the Father? Everything else about Him builds on this one thing. It is not that He was the creator of all things. It is not His power or might. The one thing that defines the One true God as our Father is that He loved us so much that He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, to die for your sins, so that you can once again walk with Him.
Love
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us. 1 John 4:7-12
What is the one thing that defines Jesus Christ? Everything else about Jesus is built on this one thing. It is not that he was the Word of God and that all things were created through him. It is not that he rose from the dead and is now Lord of the kingdom of God. The one thing that defines Jesus as the Christ is that he chose to die for you because of his great love for His Father and his love for you.
[Jesus taught] “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13
Do you want to know God, as your Father? Do you want to know Jesus, as your Lord? Then you must also seek to be developed in their image and be willing to develop the type of character that you are willing to love others to such an extent that you are willing to lay your life down for them which means holding another’s life as the most important thing in your life. Everything else in the kingdom of God is built upon this one aspect of your character.
To start on your journey to discover the secrets of the kingdom of God is to develop a proper foundation of love with the Father as the architect, the Holy Spirit as the contractor (the builder), and Jesus Christ as the cornerstone.
